Blue Valentine

Movie Review:

   BLUE  VALENTINE
Film by Derek Cianfrance. Genre- Romance/Drama (2010)

Red is common, 'blue' makes this 'Valentine' unique:-

It's a film directed by Derek Cianfrance, centers on a contemporary married couple- their relationship and it's up and down. Both Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams did their job in this particular film being a perfectionist. Over all it's a romantic story with all it's sweetness, dedication, dependency, frustration and dying love.
In this film, Dean Pereira and Cindy Heller Pereira are a young, working class married couple, where Dean working as a painter and Cindy working as a nurse in a medical clinic and also staying together with their daughter Frankie. Dean's love for Cindy was kind of 'Love at first sight' type but it was so pure than anything. Where as Cindy's love for Dean came from her dependency mostly. She understood this fact that there is only Dean who can give her full of support and love during the time of her sudden pregnancy. So, without considering this fact that Dean is a high school drop out and came from a broken family without any ideal mother figure,Cindy married to him and gave him all her basic responsibilities. But things are changed when life's movement of this couple are going to be normal. That moment Cindy starts to find this fact that Dean should be more ambitious in his professional life. Dean took this in a wrong way accepting the fact that Cindy's love for him is changed now a days,it was not like the starting love life between them.Because that time she accepted Dean with all his strength and weaknesses. This particular thinking affects on their personal life, and he became a frustrated husband behaving with his wife rudely even in her working area. These matters Cindy can't tolerate finally and their journey of love finds it's deadline at last.
Two phases are there in this whole story. First of all we can see their first dating which carries all it's sweetness, passion, arrogance, sexual intimacy with full of energy, and secondly we can see the dead love between them which destroyed due to the materialistic effect of reality. Dean's simple joke that, ''we're inside a robot's vagina'', ''babe, that's how they laugh in the future'', make this fact clear that what will be the ultimate result of their relationship.
Over all, this is a wonderful movie with great acting skill of Gosling and Michelle include it's small and broad images and melodious music altogether. Undoubtedly at the end of all the things, this film creates a well image which can be cause watching this movie more than one time.
